Miller Law Firm: 13 years of legal trust

We protect businesses and people in critical moments. We believe that the power of law is the key to change, restoring justice, and developing a free country.

2012

On September 28, Masi Nayem founded the law firm Miller Law Company LLC. Since the company's inception, its main focus has been business launch and support, and the key principle of our work is the power of law. That is, applying the full potential of laws to ensure justice. From the first day of work, we find effective and exclusively legal solutions where others despair and compromise with conscience or the law. This is what significantly distinguishes us from our competitors.

2013

In 2013, the Revolution of Dignity began. As for many Ukrainians, this event became a defining one for us. We saw with our own eyes the state's inability to provide security and justice. The power of law was under threat. In conditions of weak institutions, the work of the law to restore justice became for us both a demand of the time and a personal challenge.

2014

Karina Verbovenko, now managing partner, joined Miller as a lawyer. At that time, our company's priority specialization was restaurant business support. In this area, we quickly consolidated our positions and became recognizable. The company began to have more time and think about the need to go beyond corporate business support.

2015

In August, the company's founder, Masi Nayem, received a draft to the army. Within 24 hours, it was necessary to make a decision: to close or transfer management to a responsible person who would preserve the company and its reputation. Karina Verbovenko became such a person. For the next 17 months, she managed Miller independently.

During this period, we began to streamline internal processes and look for lawyers of "the same blood as us" — value-based, motivated, ambitious, and patriotic. Principledness, creativity, expertise, and discipline became the guiding principles of the company's activities.

2017

After partner Masi Nayem returned from the army, the company continued to develop and began to expand the range of services it now provided to include litigation cases. But even then, we began to think about increasing the number of areas of work and dividing it into practices.

2018

"Miller" gains citations and mentions due to numerous participation in high-profile socially important cases. We protect political activists, journalists and ATO veterans and gain publicity. We are convinced that political competition and transparency are one of the most important mechanisms for ensuring the rule of law in the state.

2019

In the first months of the year, the company launched a "Defense Practice", which made it possible to defend clients' rights in criminal proceedings.

2020

In 2020, the “Practice of Cases on Administrative Offenses” and “Practice of Protection of Honor, Dignity and Business Reputation” began to take shape. The first year of the pandemic was not in vain for the company: we learned to work remotely, better organize our time, and equally effectively protect the rights of our clients. Over the year, the “Practice of Cases on Administrative Offenses” won dozens of cases related to violation of quarantine rights.

The “Practice of Protection of Honor, Dignity and Business Reputation” also brought success to the company. Within its framework, we defended both public figures whose non-property rights were violated, and journalists, upholding their professional right to freedom of speech. The professional work of our lawyers in the courts brought victory to our clients.

2021

This year, our corporate practice is expanding into two new areas: "Litigation Practice" and "Business Protection Practice."

The first successfully provides pre-trial and judicial support in labor, family, inheritance disputes and disputes with state authorities. The second, among other things, helps resolve corporate conflicts, provides legal support for new businesses, and protects the rights of Ukrainian and foreign entrepreneurs from raider attacks.

We continue to do our work with dedication and responsibility. Our lawyers provide defense in high-profile criminal cases. We continue to support successful businesses, repel raider attacks on clients, protect their rights in court, and uphold business reputation. We also defend the rights of political activists and opinion leaders.

2022

We are proud of our victories, but we are not going to stop there. We defend the rule of law, the interests of our clients, and Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine, part of our team has joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while the rest continues to perform legal work. We do not leave any of our clients without protection and care. We realize that Ukraine's victory in this war is based on both the fronts and the rear. That is why during martial law, Miller continues to fulfill its main function - to stand guard over the rule of law and the rule of law in Ukraine, despite everything.

2023

In October 2023, Artem Krykun-Trush's Rostrum Law Office merged with Miller Law Firm, with Artem Krykun-Trush leading the White-Collar Crime, Compliance & Investigations practice. This strategic merger created one of the largest and most experienced criminal practice teams in Ukraine, currently numbering over 20 professionals.

Miller Law Firm experts received individual recognition among the leaders in White-Collar Crime, criminal law and procedure, anti-corruption practice, litigation and mediation, military law, and business protection according to the results of the all-Ukrainian legal ratings "Client's Choice. TOP-100 Lawyers of Ukraine" and "Lawyer of the Year".

2024

Thanks to the use of Litigation PR methods for supporting trials, involving the public and the media in important cases, Miller Law Firm lawyers managed to successfully appeal a number of verdicts, obtain acquittals in cases with significant amounts of damages, achieve a significant reduction in bail amounts and release clients from custody during pre-trial proceedings in cases with total bail amounts of over UAH 1 billion in the interests of Yuriy Mazepa, investor Concorde Capital, Andriy Kobolev, former Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz, and other well-known public figures.

Miller Law Firm entered the TOP-20 leading law firms and was recognized among the leaders in White-Collar Crime, criminal law, compliance, business protection, anti-corruption practice, litigation and military law according to the results of the all-Ukrainian legal rating studies “Ukrainian Law Firms. A Handbook for Foreign Clients” and “Market Leaders. Rating of Law Firms of Ukraine”.
