Case of brutal beating of a teenager in Bila Tserkva: trial begins

Yesterday, the Bila Tserkva City District Court of Kyiv Region began to consider an indictment in the case of torture and extortion of money from a minor.

We are talking about two defendants whose actions caused severe moral and psychological consequences for the victim.

Miller Law Firm, representing the girl, filed a civil lawsuit for UAH 500,000 as compensation for non-pecuniary damage caused by the ill-treatment of the defendants.

The court provided copies of the claim to the other parties for review and set deadlines for filing responses.

The prosecutor also filed a motion to extend the preventive measures against the accused. We fully supported this position and emphasized the need to maintain the current preventive measure to protect the victim, guarantee her safety and prevent pressure.

The court has now retired to the deliberation room to make a decision on this issue.

This is no longer a preparatory stage – a full-fledged trial has begun. Despite the fact that the hearings are being held behind closed doors (given the age of the victim), we will continue to inform you about key events.
